The Third Thousand Sensations Crafted Beer and Food Festival will take place on 16 and 17 September 2016 at the Wilderness Hotel in Wilderness.
This is the second time at this magnificent venue and we plan for between 3 000 – 3500 craft beer lovers to attend.
This event is a real South African Festival with 90% South African Crafted Beer. 30 Breweries will participate with more than 120 different craft beers.
The craft beer is complemented by a variety of food dishes to complement all the different beer styles.
During the two days, a total of six (6) presentations will take place around the art of craft beer and the industry.
Different brew masters, chefs and the authors of South African Beer Books will be present. Live music by local artists all the time during the Festival. Entrance fee only R80 (including a festival branded glass and 5 tasting tickets) Under 18 R30 and under 12 free.

Group Editors (local newspapers in all the surrounding towns and in George – including web-based newspapers) are on board this year as the Media Partner and Algoa FM will broadcast from the venue on Friday 16 September 2016.
A number of businesses are driving around with magnetic signs on their cars with the words : “Eager Supporter of Festival”
THE VENUE FOR THE 2016 CRAFTED BEER AND FOOD FESTIVAL WILDERNESS
The Main Venue Halls of The Wilderness Hotel will host the artists and space for beer drinkers to sit down and enjoy beer, food and music. Ample space is available outside to enjoy the sun in the garden or next to the swimming pool. Beer and food stalls will be situated at different places on the hotel premises for convenience. A play area is available for children under supervision.
CRAFT BEER PRESENTATIONS AND FOOD PAIRING
During the two day Festival six (6) Craft Beer presentations will take place (45 minutes each). Each facilitated by a brew master. For each of the presentations, different craft beer will be available in order to understand the different beer styles, with cheese and other food pairing. Valuable information about the Craft Beer Industry will be presented to participants. Cost R50 per person.
In the build up to the Festival craft beer and food pairing adventures will take place on 12 September at House of Flavour (George), 13 September at Turnberry Boutique Hotel (Oudtshoorn), 14 September at Pomodoro (Wilderness) and 15 September Diaz Beach Hotel (Mossel Bay). Limited tickets available at R150 per person.
ACCOMMODATION
The Wilderness Hotel offers a special of R650 per room per night for two people for the two days of the Festival. Do not drive – stay over.
